Gabriel walked as quickly as he could to get to the nearby lift. The sooner he could get away from this area the better. *Taps* "Gabriel to Lieutenant Dunham" He said quickly as his lift began to travel towards its destination.
Dunham Taps his comm "Dunham Here". He said as he was climbing out of his cockpit.
"There's been a change of plans. The strike against the Pirate Base has been moved up to 15:00. The Attack Fleet will be departing the station at that time." He said into his unit.
"Hell." Replied Dunham. Now standing stationary on the ladder hanging off his fighter craft. "That's damn unfortunate, I'm scheduled for patrol at that time, sorry I won't be able to make it at that time"
"Neither will I, therefore I'm sending Ensign Duquense in my place. He will coordinate the attack as well as the retrieval of any relevant information during the assault. I suggest you designate a replacement that you can trust, preferably one that is willing to shoot Darson if he tries anything." Gabriel said matter-of-factly.
Sounding a little unsure down the comm Dunham said. "I already have some one in mind for who can lead the Peregrin fighter assault. Ensign Watts and Tango Wing. Sorry It's still my first day isn't Darson the Marne Element Leader? Your expecting trouble from a fellow star fleet officer?"
"Darson is a Marine, that is wholly different than a Starfleet Officer. His job is to shoot and shoot again if necessary. Whatever he has planned for this mission I sincerely doubt that it is for the Federation's best interest. Therefore, Duquense and your team will have to be our eyes and ears." He responded.
"Very well, have your person get in contact with Darson to designate a meeting point. Gabriel out." He said as he closed the link.
Dunham shook his head slowly as he continued to climb down the ladder and thought to himself what hell storm he had got himself into. Still Lieutenant Gabriel knew his stuff.
