Trellis straightened his tunic and tried to remain as relaxed as he could despite the obvious presence of the holo-recorder before him. He stepped forward and began to speak in as calm and direct tone as possible.
"My name is Lieutenant Si'Lar Trellis, Chief of Station Security." He began. "At 16:00 hours, station time, my department successfully apprehended an individual that we believe to have been responsible for the recent bombing that took place in front of the Cardassian Embassy." He said.
"The individual has read her rights under the Federation 7th Guarantee, and after acknowledging that she had been informed of her rights, she gave a full and complete admission." Trellis continued. "At this time, she is currently being held in Starfleet custody until she can be further adjudicated." He said proudly.
"I would like to take this time to let the people of this station know that my office was relentless in its pursuit of this individual and we are fully investigating whether there were others invoked in this heinous attack and what their motives may be." He said.
"I will begin taking questions at this time." He said with a smile as he addressed the crowd.
