Having removed everything even relating to her position as an officer in Security, Arrienye eyed herself critically in the mirror. ~This doesn't look right,~ she finally decided, then walked out of her office and headed down the corridor on her right. After a moment, she found herself in front of tr'Rul's office doors. Straightening out her jacket with her free hand, she pressed the chime.

"Who on ch'Rihan is it?" tr'Rul irritably, he had no appointment until eleven, indeed his wife was due in five minutes to join him for breakfast, and she would not 'knock'.

"Arrain Arrienye t'Merek, your new Diplomatic Aide, Llairhi " Arrienye announced, catching onto the irritability of his voice. She had a feeling this wouldn't go over very well. But she was a soldier, adaptable if anything.

"New aide?" he questioned with barely a glance up from the news-sheet he was reading, "I don't require a new aide. Why don't you run along and find Letant he is my aide," he suggested dismissively.

"I am your new aide. Appointed by Ambassador t'Khellian. If I may enter, you may look over her orders first hand." Maybe not as adaptable as she would want, Arrienye thought to herself.

This time Koval did look up from his screen. "No, no," he muttered, "show me that!" he demanded holding his hand out for the padd she carried. "I don't need a girl like you as my aide," he continued, "I might as well appoint the pretty receptionist."

Arrienye bit the inside of her cheek. Hard. She handed the padd over to him, deciding it was much better to keep her mouth shut at this point since her first instinct was to snap at the bastard. And that would do no one any good.

A glance at the padd then tr'Rul shook his head sharply from side to side, his jowls wobbling as they followed the movement of his skull. "What is the woman thinking?" he said to himself, though aloud. "You're not qualified," he said fixing her with a dark gaze. "How can someone like you presume to handle interstellar affairs with even a grain of finesse?"

Arrienye let out a steady sigh, one that she was sure wouldn't be heard by the diplomatic who she couldn't imagine heard anything other than the sound of his own voice. Then she took a breath and hoped something would strike her dead before the next words exited her mouth. "Llairhi, you are absolutely right. I do not have as much experience, but I am sure that I will do nothing short of blossom under your skilled, superior tutelage." She swallowed then, sure she'd just thrown up a little.

tr'Rul leaned back and finally looked properly at the woman. "Tutelage that I doubt you are worthy of," he said scrolling through the content of the padd with his thumb - it seemed there was little he could do to get rid of her. What had the Khellian woman done with Letant? That was a conversation he would have to have with the Ambassador, not with this creature she had sent him.

Arrienye kept her face so serene and calm, her great great grandfather would've been proud. "Yes, sir," she said with a respectful bow. Too respectful, in her opinion.

"Well," Koval said without breaking his gaze, and ignoring the fact that there was a replicator installed in his office, "Why don't you run along to the canteen and request coffee for two. I am expecting my wife shortly. Some pastries too," he added.

~Oh, you son of a bitch...~ Arrienye thought to herself, glancing at the replicator they both knew was there. Giving him a nod, she turned to leave when she found herself confronted with a woman. Arrienye was a head taller than her and the woman in front of the Head of Security was a very frail-looking, plain woman. She was in a gown that seemed to accent the bony construction of her body but the woman didn't seem bothered. In fact, even at a 5 inches under Arrienye, she somehow managed to look down her pointed nose at her.

"And who might you be?" she asked in a high voice, eyeing Arrienye critically.

"e'lev," Koval said extending his hand. "She is about to fetch us breakfast. Do sit," he added amiably guiding his wife into a comfortable chair.

"Thank you, dearest," Taleria told her husband, sitting down and placing her hands onto her lap. Giving them both a nod, Arrienye exited. Letting out a curse under her breath, she walked off towards the canteen.
