The Unmarked Runabout landed softly in the shuttle bay, its lone occupant stood his hulking frame blocked the view inside, long shaggy hair and dirty clothing hid his true person. Jarred hasn't seen the inside of a starbase in 19 months. ~ I should've taken the time in the brig over the demotion again!~ Jarred mused to himself.
Then again he wasn't exactly normal military either. 18 months on a Klingon bird of prey and another month of debriefings by HQ was annoying more than anything else, but the offer to get my full commission back was enough to get me back into action.
Jarred hefted the two heavy bags, and stepped off the runabout and right into his next assignment. ~ This is odd...where's security?~ Jarred thought
He walked towards the bay door, as it hissed open he noticed the dimly lit corridors of the shuttle bay level, and again no security. He scanned the layout of the station. and proceeded too the turbo-lift. It was then that a young, 20-something security officer approached him and spoke.
"Sir I need to see your orders before you can proceed."
Jarred turned and stared at the young man and looked into his eyes. "I'm the new Intelligence officer that's all you need to know...... for the moment."
The security officer gave one final look and told Jarred that the intelligence office was on deck 16. Jarred uttered something in Klingon and strode into the turbo lift.
