=^= Communications to Commander t'Vaurek. We have an incoming transmission for you. Where would you like it routed marm? =^=

"My ready room. Tahhk, with me," she said before retreating to the RR for what, after an hour on duty seemed like the twenty sixth message of the day.

Lanson waited patiently until his secretary told him the channel was open. Turning to his screen he said "Hello Commander, I'm Sector Chief Marshal Brad Lanson, Federation Marshal's Service. I was contacting you to let you know the service will be reopening the Marshal's Precinct on Deep Space Five"

Isha greeted the news with a smile. The Marshals would not have the same prejudice as the Security section - she hoped memories of Gabriel's reaction to her when she was an Ambassador lurking in her mind - "I hope this will help still the unrest in the civilian population recently," she said, "Whom should I meet?"

"Chief Deputy Wolfgang Steiner" Larson replied "He's a good man, occasionally a little.... unorthodox, shall we say, but professional and reliable. He's been working a case which may involve your command and should be reactivating the Precinct very shortly. Chef Steiner will be joined by a small team of junior Marshals who are enroute in the Marshal Service Runabout FMSS Van Buren Hendix"

Isha closed her eyes for a moment. Trellis and his new superior might erupt. But she, well to Isha this was welcome news.

"Securely transmit your requirements. We will do our best to accommodate them," Isha said before she opened her eyes. How she wished that r'Vaurek was here to make that connection on a station she feared to venture back to.

"Are you ever going to tell me why you are so reluctant to leave the secure areas of this staion alone?" Tahhk asked - her Vulcan Shadow read something in her expression.

"I hope I never have to," Isha said distantly, "You do not need that in you mind, Commander."

Isha turned back to the screen, "When should we expect Deputy Steiner?"

"He should be there now Commander" Larson confirmed "I'll have him contact your Yeoman for a meeting. Might I also say how sorry we were to hear of the tragedy involving the defense platforms and those civilian ships. Chief Steiner's current case may have uncovered some information relating to the... incident"

"I thank you for your condolences," Isha replied. "It is a difficult time for many. If Chief Steiner can help us in any way we, and the bereaved will be most thankful. I trust that when he is good and ready he will make himself known to us."

"Indeed, thank you Commander. Larson out" The Sector Chief closed the channel and sat back in his chair So that's what a Romulan in Starfleet looks like, huh? She had quite the presence, even over subspace. Steiner's going to have an interesting time...

"Tahhk, if you'd be good enough to research Steiner, and find out why he's been assigned to this pit," Isha said, "We'll review it it in our first debrief."

"If you wish that, T'Vaurek, " the Vulcan replied with a hint of hesitation in his tone.

"I wish it," Isha replied - it could not be co-incidence that this posting came in the aftermath of the platform malfunction.
