Embassy Entrance Foyer
Formerly approached by a single set of double doors leading into a wide entrance foyer, the entrance to the Consulate has recently been opened up taking the visitor directly from the turbolift into Rihannsu territory - a change marked by the application of traditional Romulan design in the area. This means that the Consulate is entirely isolated from other areas of the station and can be approached only from the turbolift
The door straight ahead is discreetly guarded and may be used only by embassy personnel. The visitor must proceed across the foyer past the sculpture and use the open doorway seen on the right of the image above.
Embassy Reception Area
The visitor will then emerge into the reception area. This light, airy space provides a waiting area for those with appoinments with Consulate staff.
Above the reception desk hang depictions of the twin homeworld - ch'Rihan and ch'Havran by the celebrated contemporary painter and sculptor Shiarrael Nanclus - other artworks in the area were created for the embassy by the same artist.
As well as a variety of consular offices the Consulate also incorporates quarters for the senior representatives of the Empire. All other personnel are housed in normal quarters elsewhere on the station.
Seating Area in Isha's Office
Working Area of Isha's Office
The Ambassador's office is located at the far end of the corridor that runs behind the reception area. The visitor approaches from the corridor and emerges into the comfortable seating area - while this appears to be an open design there is a concealed door which can be used to ensure privacy.
The vast room with its spectacular starscape is divided into two distinct areas - a comfortable seating area for informal conversation and a practical working area delineated by a subtle change change in flooring.
A second door lead from the office into a private conference room accessible only from the Ambassador's office.
Displayed on a rack against one wall are three very fine examples of classic Romulan craftsmenship; the first is an ancient blade that belonged to Isha's late husband that she inherited after his death. It signifies her rank as hru'Hfirh of the Great House Illialhlae.
The second is a modern duplicate of the first and was presented to Isha when she married into her husband's House conferring an (almost) equal status upon her.
The third, also a treasured antiquity Isha inherited after the death of her sister Latta-Jhu when Isha's mother conferred the rank of erie'Hfirh upon her and named her heir to the Great House Khellian.
The observant visitor will note the marked difference in design which is as much an indication of divergent House traditions as regional aesthetic preference.
Please note that the stand is protected by a field, visitors are stongly advised to look but not to try and touch. The consulate accept no responsibilty for injuries fatal or othewise sustained on the premesis.
