Interlude – 'Interview* with an assassin continued
by Arrival Thomas Whitlock & Lieutenant T'Pal
ON:
T'Pal had lead him to her rented hotel room. It was luxurious, with a rare view.. The port was angled in such a way that one would think there were no ships or activities, simply vast space. It had a lounge area with couches and chairs with an open plan bar and even kitchen area, with an adjoining bedroom and bathroom en suite. The colours were light beiges and creams, old gold and only here and there splashes of deeper reds and burnt oranges. It all served to give the suite a serene but yet warm atmosphere.
"Would you like to drink something, or would you like to have sex straight away?" she asked pragmatically.
Thomas looked at her and smiled. "I think a drink first will be fine."
"I have several beverages here, what would you like?" she asked. "And of course there is the replicator.." she suggested.
“Whatever you have convenient,” Thomas said as he moved to sit on the couch.
T’Pal nodded and got them each a glass of dry red wine from the Lehre province on Betazed. walking over she passed the glass to him. “What is the honesty you want from me?” she asked as she sat down.
Thomas sipped the wine and smiled at her. “Why don’t we start with what you do on the ship.”
“I do what I want, and sometimes I work as a security consultant.”
“That doesn’t sound like a very honest answer,” he said with a wink as he sipped his wine.
“That is as honest as you will get from me, take it or leave it,” she said. “Or do you want a more elaborate story? Check my Starfleet records, you will see that I used to be a Security Chief,” she said watching him.
“Good enough,” Thomas said with a smile. He sipped his wine again then moved a little closer to her, placing his hand on her leg. “Do you do this often? Have sex with men you barely know?”
“Mostly,” she said. “I don’t have relationships and you? For a human, you seem forthcoming,” she commented, allowing him to touch her.
“Life’s too short to waste time with silly games,” he said to her, gently rubbing her leg.
“Indeed,” T’Pal said. She had just had some very primitive *entertainment* in the holodeck, and perhaps that was a good thing, the primal instincts satisfied. Now she could enjoy sex on quite another level.
T’Pal drank a bit of her wine, then turned to him, her fingers trailing his cheek, lips, throat slowly, till they were halted be the beginning of his clothing, which she started to remove as she moved to straddle him
Thomas looked at her and smiled as she touched him then moved on top of him. He was curious to see what she would do to him.
***********LATER*************
Thomas looked at her and smiled. “We’ll definitely have to do this again,” he said.
“You seem to have stamina....” she said. “What do you use?”
“Exercise and good food,” he said to her. “It helps to have a great partner as well though.”
T’Pal thought with some irony that she had not had sex for a few good weeks and now going for her fifth time on one day. “You are very smooth for a young man like you,” she commented. “But the sex is good,” she admitted. “You are better than expected.”
“Good to know you enjoyed it,” he said to her. “I could get use to doing this with you from time to time. Are you ready to start telling me more about yourself now?”
“That sounds acceptable, but not if you want more,” she warned. “Why do you want to know more about me?” she asked. This was strangely relaxing to have meaningless sex while having a conversation. It reminded her of the days when she was at the training center.
Thomas looked into her eyes. “I know so little about you. I still don’t even know what you do on the base.”
“I told you and now for the third and last time. I do what I want and I am a security consultant,”” she said annoyance flashing in her hazel eyes.
“Fair enough,” Thomas replied. “Do you usually spread your legs for people you barely know or am I special?”
“I am sorry to disappoint you but I prefer to *spread my legs* for someone I barely know,” she answered ~And for those I see as part of a job~ she thought to herself.
“I’m hardly disappointed,” Thomas said with a smile. “How long have you been on the base?”
“For some days, you?” she said.
“I’ve been here for a couple weeks,” he replied.
“And what is your particular field of interest,” she asked, taking the attention away from her. Idly she wondered how he would react if she did tell who she really was, but then foccussed on what they were doing, drawing pleasure from the detached physical connection.
Thomas looked into her eyes. “I’m mainly concerned with political situations on the base and in the sector.”
“That can be boring,” she commented.
“Not on this base,” Thomas said. “Do you have something better for me to report on?”
~I killed a drug lord involved in human trafficing~ she thought behind her mental barriers. “Why ask me, I have been barely here,” she smiled.
“I just thought maybe you would have a better idea on what would make for interesting reading,” he said to her.
“Tell me some interesting political news.and I might share something for ....you,” she asked.
Thomas said, “I’ve been looking into the tensions between the Romulans and Cardassians on the base.”
“Tensions between them is no news...” she insisted. “You need to give me.more...”
“I’m not sure how much I can tell you.”
“You said you will trust me. when we have sex... I think this qualifies....” she reminded him.
Thomas looked down and smiled. “What do you want to know?”
“You talked ...about the tensions.. between the Romulans and Cardassians, what alerted you to think you should investigate it?” she asked thoroughly enjoying what he was doing.
“I had a tip that there may be more going on there than meets the eye,” he said.
“What have you w found out so far?”
“I’ve only been able to talk to the Romulans so far so I don’t have a clear picture yet,” he said to her.
“Well then you don’t have much to tell me,” she stated, lifting her eyes to him, glaring at him annoyed. “What can you do to make worth it?” she asked, a threat clear in her voice.
Thomas looked at her and paused. “What do you want?”
T”Pal thought for a moment. He was clever enough to deduct from her physique and heritage that she could do him harm. He would not realize how much, but for now that would suffice “Keep me informed of whatever you find...I have to test the Cardassians’ security and I want an advantage..” she gave him some information. “And we will do this again and more.... “she promised. “And now... continue...”
Thomas looked at her again then nodded. “I have a meeting with the Cardassians tomorrow,” he said. “Perhaps we can get together afterward.”
T’Pal looked at him, with a smirk at the corners of her mouth. “We can do this again some time. You have more endurance and stamina than most human males,” she said, after sizing him up as a future partner for some of the same, which was all she was after.
“I look forward to it,” Thomas said with a smile, kissing her again.
She kissed him expertly, taking full enjoyment of their tongues dancing, teasing. “As long as there are no complicated feelings, it will work,” she said taking his tongue into her mouth and stroking it with her own, but parting again, her lips moving against his as she spoke. “At which point I will terminate it,” she said, in the same almost seductive tone she used before.
“You are nothing more than someone to have sex with and share information with,” he said, lying beside her.
“Good,” she said. “Then we have a mutual agreement.” The lithe hybrid got up and got herself another glass of white wine. She lowered herself into a chair and crossed her legs. She watched him for a few moments, sipping her wine. “A man died earlier today. Malcolm Cane. He was involved in spreading 20th century drugs and human trafficking,” she said casually.
“Who did he work for?” Thomas asked turning to face her. He smiled as he looked at her, looking forward to the working relationship they were forming.
“An independent, trying to break into the market of the drugs” she said. “The human, mostly child trafficking he had been involved with before,” she added.
“He had to have had contacts on the base,” Thomas replied thoughtfully. “How did you find out about it?”
“That is not your concern,” she answered flatly. “You can imagine my work as a security consultant will provide me with all kinds of privileged information."
"Which I hope you can share with me," Thomas said to her. "At least in part."
"Perhaps," she mused.
