Timeline   SD9, 2330 hours
Girauna had been on a ship for six days now, under strict orders not to tell anyone aboard why she was there or why they were traveling at maximum warp for so long. She was exhausted beyond words when she arrived on DS5 and she knew protocol required her to report to the CO, but she needed to see if anyone could tell her what the frack was going on first. As soon as she disembarked she made her way to Gabriel's quarters, she'd looked them up on a schematic of the station before her arrival, and rang her old friend's chime, ~He better be able to tell me something!~

Gabriel staggered off of the lift and made his way down the hall towards his quarters. Now that he had finally made it towards his quarters he began to question why he didn't just beam himself from Natrina's bar and save himself the trouble of watching the station spin around and around in his hand.

He walked around the corner and stopped when he noticed that someone was standing near his door. He immediately reached for his phaser as he stopped and placed his back to the wall. As he took a step around the corner he raised his weapon and centered it on the figure before him.

"Security! Don't move!" He ordered.

Girauna heard the man as he planted himself against the wall, and turned around quickly, her weapon raised and ready, "Federal agent, drop your weapon!" She ordered, before realizing who it was, "Jesus, Dorian, put that thing down!" She laughed, walking closer to him so he could see her, "I know you didn't forget about me."

The day simply went from bad, to worst, to living nightmare. It was bad enough that it was the anniversary of when he lost "her", but to compound the fact, now he had just run into yet another person from his past. Except this one wouldn't just stay there where she belonged..

"Of course I didn't, why do you think I'm armed." He said as he lowered his weapon, but only after keeping it aimed for several seconds longer. "What the hell do you want," He demanded, more than asked. His headache was beginning to build in intensity and he wasn't in the mood for any more damn surprises.

"Oh, let me guess what this level of hostility is all about." Girauna sighed, walking straight up to him and kissing him softly on the lips, "You're still angry at me bout how things went down between us, aren't you? Look, Dorian, I'm sorry. Hey, if it helps I've missed you. Come on, invite a girl inside for a drink and we can talk."

Gabriel paused as whatever response he was going to give suddenly stalled inside of him. His heart skipped a beat as he felt her lips press against his, it was a feeling that he had not experienced in quite some time, and it was one that he couldn't say that he wanted to end. However, reality began to set in immediately.

"Go to hell, I'm sure you're familiar with that place, you've turned my life into it enough times." Gabriel replied ruefully. "Now answer my damn question, Girauna!" He said bitterly.

Girauna sighed and shook her bald head sadly, ~This is going oh so well.~ She thought, raising her head to lock eyes with him, "Okay, we will talk, inside." She whispered, cutting her eyes towards the door as if to say 'We can't talk out here.'

Gabriel was too tired and frayed to argue, so he conceded. "Fine. . ." He muttered as he opened his door and slowly trudged inside. As his feet passed over the hard surface of the corridor into the carpeted area of his quarters he sighed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose and thought to himself how much he was going to regret this in the morning.

"Don't get comfortable. . ." Gabriel said as he heard the door hiss shut behind him. "Talk and then walk." He said.

"Would you drop the hostility, I came here to save your ass." Girauna snapped back, "Unofficially, of course. Officially, I am here to investigate claims of harassment made against you by various Romulan citizens of DS5, especially one Lt. Cdr. Rianni Monteros and one Ambassador Isha t'Khellian." She took a seat next to him and placed a hand comfortingly on his shoulder, "So, what the frack did you do to these people that State sent me out here at maximum warp?"

Gabriel sunk into his chair as he closed his eyes and tried to get the room to stop spinning around him. "They're Romulans, what purpose do they have other than to abuse Federation resources. Monteros is a traitor to her uniform, Isha is a spy, but Captain Tahir is too blinded by stupidity to recognize the threat she and her entire government poses." Gabriel replied.

"Okay, Dorian, if you want me to defend you against charges that you're harassing these people because you're racist, you'll have to give me something better than stereotypes." Girauna said, stopping to take stock of him, "You're drunk, Dorian!" She stood up and took his hand, "Let me put you in bed before you fall down in a puddle of your own vomit."

Gabriel yanked his hand back, knocking the woman slightly off-balance. "You don't know anything about me, damnit! Now I want to know who the hell is actually taking the word of a traitor seriously, and who the hell sent you and that damn paper-pusher from JAG." Gabriel said as the reality of the situation began to take shape in his mind.

The sudden arrival of a JAG officer indicated that some form of an investigation was underway on the station. However, the particular arrival of Girauna signified that an investigation was beginning to take form around him. "Did the same person send you both." Gabriel asked.

Girauna was now furious at him, the temptation to knock him on his ass was becoming overwhelming, "I DON'T KNOW A FRACKING THING ABOUT ANY GORRAM JAG OFFICER, DORIAN!" She screamed, "AND YOU HAVE YET TO OFFER ANY PROOF THAT LT. CDR. MONTEROS IS A TRAITOR! HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED THAT THESE WILD ACCUSATIONS YOU KEEP THROWING AROUND WITHOUT A STITCH OF EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THEM MIGHT BE WHY YOU STAY IN A WORLD OF SHIT?"

"Lower your voice, dammit!" Dorian replied angrily. "It's just like you to ignore the truth to make your bosses happy." He responded. "Go ask that Romulan why her old Captain didn't want anything to do with her and merely dropped her off like a bastard child." He said as he struggled to his feet. "I'd love to see how she explained the increase in activity of that father of hers, the same father that just happens to be a high ranking member of the Tal'Shiar." He said as he showed Girauna a padd with Rianni father's profile.

"We know about R'vek." Girauna nodded, "And there's no proof he's working against the Federation in any way. And, again, you have no proof that Rianni Monteros has ever done anything against the Federation, either, just your assumptions. You've always done this, you make an assumption about a case or a person and then you tailor the evidence to fit your assumption. You're doing it to Isha, you're doing it to Lt.Cdr. Monteros, frack, you did it to ME!"

"Oh save me the mellow drama! I had a job to do and you know it." Gabriel said as e tried to dismiss the memory of his time on Qo'Nos. "The evidence pointed to your office and if I had to, I'd do it all again." He said as he staggered towards the counter while looking over his shoulder. "The entire Monteros clan is a blight upon this universe. Countless Federation citizens have died or been injured because of their 'family issues'" He said as he turned to face her. "You are either a help, or a hindrance. There is no in-between." He said as he walked by her towards his room.

"What the frack ever, Dorian." Girauna sighed, she could see trying to talk to him was, as usual, useless, "Come to me when you have something other than racist rhetoric and sour grapes, then maybe I can help you."
