Gabriel exited the turbolift and swept his eyes over Ops. He was searching for one man in particular.
"Ensign Elliot! Just the man I was looking for." Gabriel said as he cross the distance between the two and approached the man.
"Ensign John Elliott, reporting for duty, sir!" John attempted to be as perfect as he could, standing at attention. No need to look worse on his first day then need be.
"Right right, of course, whatever." Gabriel said as he waved his hand dismissing the formalities. "What do you know about the Spacecraft that arrived here along with the so-called 21st century Astronaut, Alex Marshall?" Gabriel inquired.
"Spacecraft?" Elliott asked uncertainly. "I was not aware of any sort of investigation relating to an old spacecraft."
"You are Head of Operations, why haven't you begun investigating the craft, what has it been doing, just sitting in the cargo bay collecting dust?" Gabriel asked rhetorically.
"No sir, I arrived just an hour ago and ended up taking the wrong turbolift somewhere.." John's voice gradually fell silent. It took a few moments to gather enough composure to continue. "Sorry sir, I can begin right away."
Gabriel groaned in response, "What is this, amateur hour?!" Gabriel said, obviously annoyed. "You are Operations, I need you to be aware of everything that could fall into your purview, Ensign!" He said as he handed a padd to the officer.
"Here is the report on the incident involving the spacecraft." he said while handing the padd to Elliot. (http://ds5.co.uk/sms/index.php?page=post&id=484)
"I expect a full report on the craft, is that understood Ensign?" Gabriel said sternly.
John took the padd from the other man and glanced at it, trying to keep his gaze focused towards Gabriel. "Aye, sir," he replied. "I'll make sure to check her up and down and get that report in as soon as possible. Anything else, sir?"
"No" Gabriel said dismissively as he turned and headed towards the turbolift.
