Beg, Steal or Borrow – Red Alert
by Captain Tasha Tahir (NPC)
On:
Davies made his way back to Ops as fast as his legs would carry him. He strode onto the centre rostrum, looking around the various crewmen at their station. He placed his hands on his hips, drawing a deep breath to steady his nerves. He so hated ship wide call.
"Comms, open the station wide."
Bill tapped at the console. "Ship wide sir." He informed the Commander.
David nodded to the comms man and leant forward onto the console, his hands laying flat on the cool surface.
"Attention all decks. We are now at a full red alert. This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill. All civilian personnel are to report to the central hub for safety. All crew are relieved of off duty status and you are to report to your department for further instruction. People of Deep Space 5, we are about to come under attack and we are to stand unified against this incursion onto our station. Good luck, Commander David Davies."
He stepped down from the mic, a small bead of sweat fell down his brow. He ignored it, now he had much deeper things to concern himself with. Taking a few short breaths, he knew it would not be much longer and he was scared, more than he wanted to admit but he had to appear calm and collected. He cleared his throat, which was dry as he pushed himself back from the console and headed back to the Captains office, hoping for the chance to grab a quick drink, before all hell broke loose and make his own personal log, just in case.
