"Dad, will I ever be joined with a symbiont?"
Toril smiled. "That depends, Saria. If you study hard and show you give all you have, I'm sure you will once." He looked back at Saria. "That means, no average notes anymore, but straight A's."
The teenage Trill looked indignantly at her father. "What do you think I'm trying to do, dad? I can't help it that I suck at most things... and then there's Jiran..."
"Saria! Right now, school is more important than your boyfriend! If you only get low grades, you can forget about Starfleet!"
Saria sunk her head into her hands. "It's just... I try and... It's still not enough..." She sobbed at bit.
"Saria, are you crying?" Toril asked.
"Ofcourse not!" Saria sprung up. Though, a few tears had formed around her eyes.
Toril grabbed his daughter's hands, and sat down in front of her. "Saria, I know it's a hard life, but sometimes, you need to give a bit more. Like a warp 9 engine running at warp 4, that actually need to run on warp 7 or 8. I know you want to spend time with Jiran, but sometimes, you need to sacrifice things. Get what I mean?"
"Yes, I get it..." Saria smirked.
"Just don't lose control, you'll get a symbiont once. I'm sure of it."

I'nora, ja'kala Rex... zhian'shee, Taya tanus rem...Gon'dar, Saria-tor...
Saria lay on a medibed. Around her were several doctors, including a few non-Trill observants. Her belly was worked open, but covered by think layers of some kind of foil-like substance. One of the doctors held a worm-like creature: the Symbiont.
Saria, zhian'paro vok... Tu Rex, zhian'tani ress... Zhian'par, Taya aru'koj...
The symbiont was placed gently within the natural pouch in her belly, destined for symbionts. She felt the symbiont wriggling in her belly. The doctor rectracted his hands from her belly and grabbed a suturing laser to close the pouch, and then the belly.
Already when her belly was sutured. She began to sweat abnormally. It felt like the symbiont was wriggling harder with each minute. She began to reach for her belly and held it. She felt something strange moving in the side of her belly. It spread to her left side and eventually reached her back. Then, the symbiont attached itself with the backbone. Saria's pupils went wide for a few seconds. Her right arm slammed into the cart next to her bed as a spastic reaction, and then laid still on the side of the medibed.
Her pupils went into a normal state again, and she eventually smiled. She looked down at her belly. The symbiont stopped to move, and now laid calmly in her belly. The feelings was amazing, like she had broken free of her bonds that kept her from reaching other memories. What she had dreamt of, actually just happened.
Symbiosis.
