Lt. Commander T'Lan stepped out onto the Promenade Deck. Before her she could see the constant activity on the Promenade. It amazed her how many things that did not conform to logic on a Federation Starbase. Without a doubt, she would have to accept this base for what it was almost as much as the base would accept her.
She reviewed her orders again She was to replace the current Executive Officer of Deep Space Five, and according to the rather lengthy and unecessary briefing she recieved from Starfleet Command. Captain Tahir had anger management issues. Perhaps it was logical for T'Lan to be assigned to restrain the Captain? However she did not see it like that.
One maintains control of their own emotions, and no one else can accomplish that. T'Lan noticed a Bar on the Promenade, no doubt one of the more illegitimate She continued to examine the Promenade for several more moments. Even finding a store that sold Vulcan Imports, a location she would visit again when time allowed.
What caught her attention even more was the strange Bolian that seemed to haunt the Promenade with a handcart. This was strange to T'Lan. There was at least several vacant lots for a store on the Promenade, however he chose his cart. T'Lan diverted her attention back to the task at hand, finding the Captain of the Starbase and delivering her orders to relieve the current Executive Officer. T'Lan spoke. "Computer, what is Captain Tasha Tahir's current location?"
"Captain Tahir is currently in Sickbay." One of T'Lan's eyebrows raised, normally Sickbays were the last place Starfleet Captains were found in. She held onto her duffel as she made her way to sickbay.
