Sotar pouted momentarily, before flipping back over onto his face.

"What the hell are you doing?" the Rihannsu asked, watching him.

"Relishing. This one, small moment where the dirt feels my shame." He murmured back.

"Stop being so dramatic. So I fractured a ridge. You'll get over it. Or is that one of those things the males of your species flaunt around."

"You’re funny, Romulan. My ridges are to me as lobes are to Ferengi."

"I hate Ferengi. And I honestly can't see the big attraction." She rolled her eyes at him.

"You love my ridges." He stated with a large grin on his face. Although not visible because he was face down.

“You wish,” Arrienye shot back, pulling her legs up to her chest and hooking her arms under the knees to stretch her sore appendages.

He sat up again, this time upright. "I still want a drink. Compensation lets call it."

"For what? You're alive, aren't you? And if you're up for a drink and not the Infirmary than you lied and I didn't fracture anything important."

"I trust alcohol more than I do a Federation doctor."

"I completely agree with your point, but don't you have a Cardassian doctor?"

"One, I think. But I think he flew back to Cardassia. The only other one I trusted was that Ryan Milarno guy. Now, all we have is grunts with minimal first aid training." He dragged the ends of his words to show his point.

"Is it difficult to put back into place?" Arrienye suddenly asked, looking over at the small disfigurement that showed under the skin of his ridge.

"Probably not." He said. Sotar masaged his ridge momentarily, before snapping the skin back into place. Flexing his neck next, he let out a relief of tension as a large, loud, and sickening 'click' filled the cavern.

Arrienye winced and shuddered. "I hate that sound. It reminds me of the sound you hear when you dislocate your shoulder and need to put it back into place."

Sotar smiled intently. He linked his fingers together and let out an equally sick crack.

Arrienye made a face. "Stop that!" she told him, but with a hint of a smile on her face.

He leaned to one side with his head. Another crack. Lifting his elbow behind his head, it made yet another vile sound.

"Stop what?"

Grabbing some of the dirt off the ground, Arrienye tossed it at him, hitting his face and staining it. "Don't play innocent!"

He coughed and spluttered, trying desperately not to laugh at the same time. "Right." He stated. Sotar stood, looked her in the eye, and smiled. Then, he turned his entire upper-body, and the sickest, vilest noise filled Arrienye's ears. Then, he ran.

"You bastard!" Arrienye called after him before getting back onto her feet and going after him. She had no idea what she'd do when she caught him (and she would catch him), but it didn't really matter.

Sotar laughed to himself as he slid into a gap in the rock face. Waiting for Arrienye to go past. He heard her footsteps fast approaching.

Arrienye rounded a corner at last and looked in confusion down the empty corridor. ~What the hell?~

He ambushed her. Jumped out and grabbed her by the waist, lifting her into the air with an un-common amount of strength.

Arrienye let out an uncharacteristically girlish scream, kicking her legs.

Sotar put on a dramatic voice for this occasion. "And how the mighty fall! Or in this case, get lifted up above a Cardassian's head."

"I hear lots of things go over a Cardassian's head," Arrienye shot back, ceasing to struggle.

"Oh, you went there t'Merek." He scowled at her. Letting her down, he giggled quietly. "I never knew a tough; hard-as-hull plating person like you could squeal like a little girl."

Arrienye frowned. "And I didn't know a strong man like you could giggle like one."

Sotar's smile dropped and he ceased giggling. "Remeber, revenge is a dish best served cold. In your case, it'll be served by a disruptor bolt to the face next session." He stated cockily.

“Yeah, I saw that tonight,” Arrienye smiled teasingly.

He screwed his face up and held his fists in the air. "Damn you t'Merek. Damn you."

Arrienye grinned. "Come on. I'll buy you a pity drink," she told him, turning around and heading for the exit once it materialized in front of them.

"Fine. It better be a damn good pity drink too."

"How about a Culture Shock?"

Sotar's eyes widened. "Um... Do we have work tomorrow?"

"Just one!" she warned. "I'm not giving you a pity drag home."

Sotar laughed, before turning a corner to face a large bar. It was full of non-Humans. "We'll pity drag each other home?"

"That will be an interesting accomplishment considering we live on opposite sides of the station."

"Ouch." Was Sotar's only word, filled with the thought of having to trek the station. "Um... I'll pass a Culture Shock, I'll take straight Kanar."

"Probably a wise choice,” Arrienye agreed.
