In a sudden rage, Saria hit the vase on her desk and stood up. Something was wrong for a while, but the problem began to grow worser everyday. She held her face in her hands, and leant against the wall. She hit the wall a few times, like she was fighting an invisible enemy. But the enemy was not here. It was in her head. Gruesome visions of people being killed, mutilated, tortured.
Saria sat down on the couch, and took the photo of her and David that was standin on the table in her hands, and studied it. She put it back on the table, and leant backwards, trying to relax. She hit her combadge then.

=/="Lieutenant Rex to Ensign Straggard, are you at work at the moment?"=/=

David knew Saria well enough to hear her voice and know something's wrong. =^= David here. Is everything alright, Saria? =^= He started to walk out of engineering with a PADD, heading to the turbolift on his way to Saria's quarters.

=/="Not exactly, David. Would you mind coming along? I'm in my quarters..."=/=

=^= Already on my way, hold on. =^= David said as he entered the turbolift. "Lieutenant Saria's quarters, maximum speed." The turbolift jerked a little and opened up again. David walked down the corridor. He rang the bell.

"Come in..." Saria said, as she sat on the couch. She had a glass of water in front of her, on the table. When David walked in, she stood up and walked toward him. Her eyeliner had faded out a bit.
"David..." She began. "...it's not going very well with me. Mentally and physically..." She said, as she grabbed David's hands.

David wrapped him arms around her, "have you gone to sickbay?"

"N...no, not yet..." Saria stammered. "I'm afraid to lose Rex if I would visit Doctor Dunham..." She wrapped her arms around his neck, and embraced him. "It's something called... Zoan'ri. Normal symbionts don't live as long as Rex, but Rex is a special one... but that doesn't mean it's not having any aging flaws..."
She let David go, and sat down on the couch, gesturing him to sit beside her.

David sat beside her. He put his arm around her. "I'm here. What can I do to help?"

"I...I'm not sure, actually. Maybe it will go over, maybe not... But it's so difficult to deal with. I'm getting visions of past events all the time. Even the ones I'm trying to put away..."

"How about I just stay here with you? If you need anything, let me know." David said. He got up and went to the replicator. "Warm milk a touch of nutmeg." He said. The replicator materialized a cup with a bit of steam coming from it. He picked it up and brought it over to Saria. "This should help you relax." He said as he handed to her.

"Thanks..." Saria smiled. She blew some steam off the cup, and drank it. "Warm milk with a touch of nutmeg. You definately have a fine taste of warm drinks... Probably haven't drank this ever, but I trust it should taste fine." She placed the cup on the table in front of her. She wiped some sweat from her forehead. "Well, if you want to stay, I personally won't stop you, but what about your duties? I bet they need a Propulsion Specialist in Engineering..."

"it's ok, do you want to talk about these 'visions'?" David asked. He knelt down in front of her, looking into her eyes. "it's ok." He put his hand on her hand.

"Are you sure, David?" Saria asked, squeezing his hands. "My visions are not very pleasant."

"I can handle it." David replied. He nodded in assurance.

"Okay, well..." Saria cleared her throat. "...I see the things I have done in the past, bad things. I see bodies of killed people, sometimes even mutilated. Frightened people. Ready to be executed..." Saria stopped, and wiped her tears away.

David held her. "It's ok." He was also going through some things. He tried not to let his already sensitive emotions show. The incident from the drifting ship had left him uneasy.

"I'm sorry if I have made you feel uncomfortable. I know you're quite busy lately, and I don't want to put any more pressure on you. It's just that I don't know any other trustworthy person to tell this all to..." Saria said, and embraced David again. "Maybe I'll be fine, maybe I won't... but I'll see what happens. Maybe this is only temporary."

"I'll keep an ear out for your comm frequency. Let me know if you need me. I'll be in Engineering." David said.

"Will do." Saria said confidently, with a faint smile. She gave David a kiss.
