After storming out of the farce masquerading as a diplomatic summit Koval tr'Rul walked alone on the gardens for an hour or so letting his anger and outrage settle before he returned to the embassy. He wished he had returned sooner.
Could it be true? Was the Khellian woman gone for ever?
That a courier had arrived from ch'Rihan and was currently knelt on the floor with genuine papers, that security had treble checked and was now surrounded by padds as he tried to use the instructions therein to decode the force field that protected the ancestral blades from all but her specific DNA, Koval could only assume that she had sent for them.
The Embassy was finally and purely his!
No more Isha t'Khellian!
Of course, having left the summit tr'Rul was not party to what was really under discussion. His joy, though he did not know it, would prove short lived.
