CPO McBain and Dr. Frulla Grax had been working in tandem to regenerate and repair the damage to Lt. Freeman's neck and skull. Taking one wound each they reconstructed the tissue, drain haematomae and rebuilt cells. Rebalancing the chemistry of the cerebral fluid whilst McBain was regenerating the skin on Freeman's neck, Frulla put a hypospray of cortostimulozolene into the opposite side.

After gently waking him and taking final readings to reassure himself that all damage had been dealt with, McBain scanned Freeman up and down and declared him fit for discharge.

"Get up gently, Lieutenant." he advised. "Wouldn't want you to get dizzy, fall down and mess up all that work to repair you!"

"Yeah my crew would be pretty ticked if I did that." Freeman said standing up. "How about my condition?"

"You're free to go, but please be careful not to damage those newly regenerated areas. They'll need a couple of days without further damage to completely heal. =^= Ed explained.

"By the looks of it you have been having some fun while I was asleep, better get working."

=^= McBain to Commander Davies =^= he called in. =^= You asked to be informed when Lt. Freeman was recovered sir? I've just discharged him. He'd be on convalescence if this weren't a red-alert situation but as it is, he's cleared to return to duty as required. =^=

David was surprised to hear of Freemans quick recovery. He slapped at his comm.
=^=" Nurse, sorry, doctor, I am not a doctor, nor do I posses any pertinent medical knowledge, but are you sure that Lieutenant Freeman is fit enough to be discharged?" =^= He enquired, though he did feel a flush 0f pride in the resolve of the chief Engineer.

Ed smiled to himself. =^= Yes Commander, as surprising as it is, CEO Freeman IS as well recovered as Regulations require for a Battlestations situation. Not as well as might be wished for in an ideal situation but sound enough for when needed at this post in an emergency =^=

=^= "Doctor, is Lieutenant Freeman able to speak?" He asked despite knowing the engineer would not be up to his usual standard, but if he could get Bruce to operate the AHDAs, he would feel a hell of a lot more confident.

=^= "Of course I can. Was just a little bump on the head. Then again must not have been that small if I woke up here in sickbay. Any way what can I do for ya?" Freeman responded to the CO's question.

Ed smiled once more and went back to his work. CEO Freeman was clearly back in his own niche and didn't need any more medical attention.

"Bruce, good to hear your voice. If your feeling fit and ONLY if your feeling fit, I could use your help at the AHDA control console." He paused, debating on whether to make an admission, or not.
"To be honest, this technology is new and news to me, as it only available on stations and I need to be confident that it will work when we need it, coupled with the damage on the guardian platforms that your engineers are working on at the moment, of course." It was never easy for a CO to admit to not knowing something, but the advanced holographic decoy arrays were unknown to him and he would have liked to have seen a demonstration, but now he would see it in full working order, at least he hoped so.

"As long as I can use the site to site transporter to get to the main control console I should be fine. Do you have any ships that you want to be programmed?"

David thought for a moment, he hadn't given it much thought not realising that the array would need programming.
"Er, a few Galaxy Class and er, I am not sure, whatever you think best that will cause maximum distraction." He stated.

"Roger, I can get eight ships with out using any of the stations power. I hear that a lot of the station has been evacuated." Bruce paused to think over the power he could pull from the uninhabited areas. "I rather use the extra power from the shops and what not some where else. But if needs be I think I maybe able to get one or two more decoy ships." Bruce responded.

"Very well, I can only concur with you on that point chief, but as long as it also provides cover for our 2 real ships, then I am content that should suffice. As for power, just tell Lieutenant Peters what you need and that you must have it. Keep up the good work chief, but do not push yourself too hard. Davies out." =^=

David closed the comm, there was too much to do and no specific timeframe to get it done. He sighed, pending his next move, or rather that of the Romulans, he was now caught in the waiting game.

Bruce then had himself transported to the AHDA control room to start programing the ships into the computer.
