As Chris came on the station and changed into his new uniform, he left his quarters to report to the Captain for duty's. As he walked down the hall he thought to himself wondering if the duty's of being Assistant Chief Strategic Operations Officer would be any different from being Strategic Operations Officer which he was when he was on the USS Daedalus. He hoped that there would be lots for him to do, to keep him busy, thinking about that letter
~ If i'm busy I won't have to think about it anymore ~ because after thinking about it he has a idea of what it might be.

He found himself alone on the turbo lift, being nervous about meeting the Captain.
He stepped out and saw a door, with the number of Davies' quarters. He stepped forward after a long deep breath as he presses the annunciator, the doors open and he walks in and say's

"Warrant officer Christopher Hudnall reporting for duty Captain."

"I've been expecting you Warrant Officer Hudnall." Davies says as he made his way across to the replicator, "Please, relax." He added, seeing the rigid nervousness in the young man, "sit down." He motioned to the chair beside the rectangular desk. "I'm sorry to call you to my quarters, but you arrived twenty minutes earlier than I had expected and I have just ended a communication with Starfleet and would not have made it up to deck 12 in time." He explained, still holding the PADD in his hand, though he had not yet had time to read.
"Please, tell me what made you want to transfer to DS5 from the Daedalus?" He asked with a quite serenity to his voice, as he was keen to hear what had transpired for the expedient transfer of the Warrant Officer.

As Chris started David held up his hand, "Sorry, did you want anything?" He pointed to the replicator, "I'm parched and ordering an iced tea for myself." David deliberately made no facial expression.

"No thank you" said Chris as he set down and replied to his question " there's many reason's. I thought it would be more of a adventure here with the different ship's coming through and I would have more time to meet new people because on a battle ship it's really hard to do that." Then Chris added a "thank you, I know that you probably had others to chose from and you took me just a warrant officer" Hudnall then asked "what should he expect being on this station day to day?"

Davies eyed the man carefully, before ordering a single iced tea.
"I never requested you to be honest. I only received your transfer orders last night. As for your enlisted rank, that makes hardly any difference on a station this size." Petro suddenly erupted in his mind. "We are a training station as well as a waypoint for refuel and re-supply as well as a defensive outpost, there is more than enough to keep you occupied. On average, 30 ships a day come and go through the docking areas of this Celestial class station, but I am sure you have read the reports as well." He took the damp covered glass from the replicator and cleared the distance between Chris and himself, taking the chair on the opposite side of the desk.
"But you still have not given me the real reason why you would want to leave a Prometheus Class starship to come to a station. Most people want to go the opposite way." He tipped the glass in Chris' direction, taking a sip of the cool beverage, savouring its coolness as it meandered down his throat. Had it been later in the evening, he would have preferred something a little stronger.

Chris replied "I didn't like the way the ship was ran and what it was used for. I'm an explorer and being on a station with different ships coming in everyday sounded good to me the people I get to meet and I'm just more of a station person." Chris sat in his chair looking at the commander and said with a smile. "I will give this station everything I have and more I'll help out with anything and I'll serve this station the best I can." after a pause Chris said "I don't think of this station any different then the USS Daedalus I think of it for what will happen, the adventure of it."

Davies nodded, understanding where the nervousness in the young mans came from.
"I can assure you, there will be plenty of adventure, life if anything, is never dull on here. So you've been assigned quarters, have you checked in with lieutenant Tan yet?" David enquired, taking a long sip of the cool tea.

"No," Chris replied "I came here first he told me to come back later, I need to check in with sickbay too." As Chris stood up and said "May I be dismissed commander?"

"Why?" Asked Davies, his head cocked to one side at the abruptness in the officer. "Do you have somewhere else you need to be?"

Chris replied “I don't mean to be rude sir, I’m due for a ops meeting and I don't want to be late for my first meeting sir." Chris stood there hoping that the commander didn't take it the wrong way, he was nervous about trying to show everyone respect and being on time to everything.

David nodded. "Very well Mr Hudnall." He said as he stood. "Computer, acknowledge the position allocated to Warrant Officer Christopher Hudnall. All rights and privileges are bestowed upon him, upon his meeting with his Department head." David offered the PADD he held to Chris as the computer chirped its confirmation of the Commander order. "Your dismissed." He stated with the corners of his lips rising in a grin. "You don't want to be late for Lieutenant Tan."

Chris took the PADD and said "Thank you sir, I have a feeling that I don't want to be either I wont let you down sir." Chris turned and walked out into the hall and took a deep breathe coming his nervous and said quietly to his self "now to Lieutenant Tan's office" trying not to be nervous.
