... to all the new folks onboard DS5.
I bet you are wondering what you have let yourselves in for. It's been a shaky start which none of us expected with website & email problems, but thanks to an idea from our Chief Security Officer, Dorian Gabriel, we have come up with something to get you started as a sub plot to our "Trial" and "Rescue" plots currently underway....
As you may have seen, we post using a "Station Day" or SD and currently we are moving into SD36, which is the trial of Dorian.
Now this may leave you concerned that some of you will have no idea about what is going on, so just for the new staff, just to get you going, here is a sub-plot for you to get your teeth into until the posts start coming out with regards to the trial....
There is currently a JP ongoing, where the CIO, Lieutenant Jarred Wallace has gone missing (kidnapped) and within that post, we have sourced a security leak.....
Not sure whether it is from the Security or Marine department, the post involves pirate activity, but what I have in mind, is something much more sinister........
If you read some of the posts from the last mission, "Unity" http://ds5.co.uk/sms/index.php?page=mission&id=5, then you will find that we have a group called the "Founders" at large, or not so large but still at work on the station, but with an added twist as we have a former Borg Drone just joined us, I thought we would mix this up with a little Pirate/Borg espionage who have their own former drone at work on the station.
Now, I have not run this past anyone else, so this is a completely new tangent, that you can run with, starting at around TIMELINE: SD36 05:45 onwards. Try to work yourselves in gently, but I am hoping to bring the station into red alert near the end of the SD37 if you play this right (and please mark your posts in the timeline and Yolanthe, the stations record keeper, will do her best to keep track,) whilst the current players will mainly work n the trial posts.
To help you along, you can include me in your starting posts, with JP as a starter with Tasha being awakened with a call from Lieutenant Commander Richard Dunham who is bringing in Crewman Kahlan Al-Khira, the former drone and now a Technical Specialist, who somehow senses that the Borg are on DS5......
Any member of the crew will be available to help you along in a JP, in fact I am sure they will, just get a feel for some of our wider ranging NPCs, who will be more than happy to join in.....
